Today's Special - A Table of Cruelty and Arrogance
As some of us have figured out in life we are born into a world of cruelty. We are delivered into a system of arrogance built on deep-rooted traditions and indoctrinations. For me, my world revolved around turmoil and self-loathing. I based my soulless actions on nothing of true depth or value, I existed in a state of contempt. This table represents the failings of half a century of life whereas my existence ranked its worth. (A hand-made coffee table embedded with carved bull horns) I remember the day of the purchase, I delighted at the thought of my unique find. Pompously for years, I dragged the chains of my ignorance unknowingly. Like the table, my soul was in a tomb surrounded by a clear coat of acrylic. Herein lies one link of the chain that bound my empty existence. Sadly I can never erase these actions, I can never change what was done and valued. I can only keep moving.
